What do I get with an introductory lesson?
Our introductory appointments are designed to give you a fun introduction to the world of partner dancing! You’ll explore some basic movements and try a variety of dance styles, giving you a chance to experience the dances themselves while getting a feel for how we teach. Along the way, we’ll learn a little more about your interests, goals, and experience so we can thoughtfully recommend the program that’s right for you. After dancing, there will be time to ask questions and talk about next steps.
Note: Because of the extra planning involved, we do not offer choreography to a specific song on your introductory lesson.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in and shoes that stay securely on your feet. No special dancewear is required! Avoid flip-flops, heavy boots, and very grippy rubber soles.
Do I have to know what dances I want to learn?
Not at all. In fact, most people who want to start dancing don’t know where to start. That’s what makes an introduction with an expert instructor so valuable. They don’t just teach you dance moves, they teach you about what is out there and how they can be used.
Cancellations, Refunds and Arrival Windows:
What is your cancellation policy?
You must contact the studio more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. Failure to do so will be counted as a lesson forfeiture. A lesson will automatically be deducted from your program.
What is the arrival window for lessons?
For the benefit of your learning and respect for your teacher’s time, students who arrive more than 10 minutes after their scheduled appointment time will be counted as no-shows and their lesson will be forfeited. Lessons that start late will still end at the end of the appointment block out of respect for other students. We recommend you arrive around 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to get settled and warm up.
Do packages expire?
Our lessons are viable for 5 years after the purchase date. That’s more than twice as long as the estimated completion timeline of our largest bundle offering.
What is your refund policy?
Our refund window closes 30 days after purchase.
